Their Story

Willard (goes by Bill) and Patty, have been married for 55 long enjoyable years. They have served the Lord for over 30 years. These two people are truely what everyone would ever want in a grandparent/relative!
They are always the first to give you a hug when you're down, and sing you a beautiful gospel song to lift your spirit. Everyday of their life they made it their first priority to witness about God's tender-love and mercy.
As they've aged, grandpa was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease...and grandma soon afterward followed, sharing the diagnosis. He is in the later stage's needing help with most everything, and her only being in the beginning stage's (also known as Dementia). Therefore she is very capable of talking to people, and very energetic.Only her 'memory' has been effected by this horrbile illness. We all love them so very much! If you've ever been subjected to anyone with this illness, it's hard to deal with. Not only with the forgetfulness, but as well as a slight temper brought on by confusion. Please know that if approached, she would be more than willing to talk.,Regardless of her state-of-mind. She loves meeting new people.
Thursday,March 13...alittle after noon that day;they had been out with grandma's sister for lunch. Grandma had it in her mind that she wanted to go home...and earlier had made the comment to her other sister, that when talking about where she reside's, Crown City..Grandma said she didn't know where she was,but wanted to go home. So while stopping to go to the rest-room at a small local convenient mart in East Lynn,WV; grandma drove off with grandpa in the car with her. She was upset because her sister wanted the key's to drive them home. She had in her mind she knew where she was going, and she was taking them home herself. She doesn't remember how to get home in Crown City, nor her previous homesite located in Grafton,OH. Just days before going missing she had spoken to their best friends residing there in Grafton, and told him that her and poppa were going to come up and visit them. She doesn't remember how to get there though. That is, if she is indeed trying to make her way there. She could be anywhere by now. 'Trying' to head that way, maybe! Please help us find them! They are lost and scared. They 'need' someone's help to get back. Please look all over your communities. Hotel's,parking lot's, check for accident's.We need help!! Call the Wayne County State Police office 304-272-3794 To give any info! Trooper Lee Pennington is covering their case. Or PLEASE call ANY local law enforcement..they can help! The families contact information is located in the 'Contact Information' section. God Bless!
